Notting Hill is colourful, charming, and [thanks to a certain film by the same name] unofficially adopted by Americans who watched and relocated. The neighbourhood leans heavily into its cinematic appeal: pastel houses, flower boxes, and streets that feel almost too pretty to be real. Mornings are when it’s at its best. Cafés open, locals walk their dogs, and the antique stalls begin appearing along Portobello Road Market. Weekends bring insane crowds, but the residential streets remain peaceful and ideal for wandering. It’s one of London’s most photogenic areas and a great place to spend a slow morning browsing, coffee in hand, before settling into one of the neighbourhood’s excellent pubs. Best for: Antiques, colourful streets, upscale pubs, relaxed Saturday mornings.
