Kensington feels cultured, polished, and distinctly classical. The streets are wide and orderly, lined with elegant townhouses and some of London’s most beautiful historic buildings. It’s one of the city’s great museum districts, where world-class institutions sit within walking distance of leafy squares and traditional restaurants.

Despite the grandeur, it’s an easy area to navigate. Everything feels calm, well connected, and manageable, the kind of neighbourhood where you can spend the afternoon moving between museums, parks, and long lunches. Best for: Museums, classic architecture, park walks, cultured half-days.
