Fitzrovia sits between Soho and Marylebone and is the grown-up version of both. Less chaotic than Soho, less polished than Mayfair. It’s strong on restaurants, creative offices, and discreet cocktail bars. Charlotte Street is the anchor, excellent dinner density without the theatre crowds. Pimlico is understated, residential, and quietly elegant. Wide streets, white stucco terraces, very little noise. It doesn’t perform for visitors, it simply exists well. The anchor here is Tate Britain, which gives the neighbourhood real cultural weight. Best for: Strong dining, quieter central base, creative but calm energy.
